The Epson Moverio BT-300 is a pair of smart glasses connected to an Android controller. The glasses produce a digital display that can be seen through the glasses in front of the wearer’s field of view. The key application for the BT-300 is as a First-Person View (FPV) accessory for DJI drones but the product can also be used to enjoy digital content in a large-screen format, hands-free, anytime, anywhere.
The BT-300 is a consumer product designed for personal use. It has a more slim and lightweight design.
The BT-350 is a commercial product designed for use in visitor attractions and other commercial environments. The headset is made from a double-layered magnesium chassis and features an adjustable headset for use by multiple users.
The BT-300 is a consumer product designed for personal use. It has a slim and lightweight design and uses Epson’s latest Si-OLED display which provides a high contrast ratio for transparent blacks. It also has a 720p HD display and vibrant colour reproduction.
The BT-2000 and BT-2200 are industrial products designed to be rugged and durable. These devices have an IP54 rating for dustproofing and water resistance. The product is typically used for specialist remote assistance applications. The Pro BT-2000 and BT-2200 models also feature a ruggedised controller with hot-swappable batteries for continuous use.
Yes, the BT-300 is designed to fit around glasses. Customers are advised to try the standard and over-the-glasses (OTG) nose pads provided in the box for best fit. Some larger-framed glasses may be more difficult to use with the BT-300.
An inner frame is also provided in the BT-300 box and allows customers to get a prescription insert made for the BT-300 for the best experience.
The most popular application for the BT-300 is as a First Person View (FPV) drone piloting accessory for DJI drones. The product displays the drone flight data and video feed directly in front of the wearer’s eyes whilst still being transparent so the wearer can see their drone flying (it maintains visual line of sight).
The BT-300 can also be used to enjoy digital content that is loaded onto the device storage or via the Internet/installed apps.
The BT-300 supports 3D content in a side-by-side format.
If the customer is connected to a wireless network or tethered to a mobile phone, they can surf the internet.
The BT-300 is also the ideal device for compatible Augmented Reality (AR) applications.
The BT-300 glasses display a digital screen in front of the wearers field of view but as the glasses are transparent/see-through, the wearer can still view their surroundings. The transparency of the display can be adjusted using the brightness settings on the BT-300 or using the dark shade that is provided with the product.
Much like a pair of glasses, the BT-300 can be used whether you are sitting, standing, lying down etc.
It is possible to use the BT-300 anywhere. However, do not use it in an environment where operation cannot be guaranteed (such as in a wet environment) or in a place where it is prohibited by law.
For your safety, please read the user's guide carefully to use the product correctly.
Si-OLED stands for Silicon OLED and is a display technology developed by EPSON for use in the Moverio BT-300. It has a high brightness, high contrast (100,000:1), high resolution (720p), and good colour reproduction.
The display on the BT-300 fills approximately 23 degrees of the wearer’s field of view. This means it is the same as viewing a 40 inch display from a distance of 2.5 meters away or a 320 inch display from 20 meters away.
The Moverio BT-300 is compatible with DJI drones and everything you need is in the box. For the best experience, we recommend that you also purchase the BT-300 Universal Controller Mount (V12H915W01) which allows you to attach your Moverio controller to your drone controller like a smartphone.
There are many apps on the Moverio Apps Market for drone users and we recommend they explore this.
The set-up process for using the DJI apps with a DJI drone is below:

Other drone manufacturers are not currently supported. If the customer’s drone can output a video feed via HMDI or USB Type-C (generally professional drones), the BT-35E can be used.
The Moverio BT-300 allows you to adjust the brightness of the display. In addition, it is sold with medium and dark shades that can be attached to the glasses. The shades allow the glasses to be used in all brightness conditions.

No the product is not pre-owned. The Moverio BT-300 box is sealed as part of the manufacturing process but on occasion it needs to be opened to change what plug is in the box or to add new accessories. Side note to internal staff: there was a recent rework to a large batch of Moverio BT-300 units to add the dark shade as a standard accessory. If the packaging has a circular Epson branded sticker on it, this is why. This can be explained to customers if required.
